I'm planning a Europe road trip in March. What's the best toubook/road map book out there?
Q. I'm a budget minded traveler and am interested in the single best tourbook complete with roadmaps. I want it to be the single "bible" that guides us through our trip. It would be nice if this book contained budget hotels and/or subway maps. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

A. Lucky you! There are two ways to go with an auction on eBay. Start at the lowest price YOU are willing to take --with cut-off prices being $9.99, $24.99, $49.99--because of the price of posting the auctions) OR go with a HIGH price coupled with a buy it now---Make an offer. That way, you have control over how much you would get for your items. The link below are for all things autographed by Carrie so you get an idea of how much people get and what categories they are listed in for the most exposure. You might want to wait a little to sell it--prices are a lower than normal due to the ecomony and the recent boycott on eBay.

Is the Auto Club liable?
Q. In January 1984, George Yanase was a paying guest at the Royal Lodge-Downtown Motel (Royal) in San Diego, California. Yanase was a member of the Automobile Club of Southern California (Auto Club). The Auto Club publishes a "Tourbook" in which it lists hotels and motels and rates the quality of their services, including the cleanliness of rooms, quality of the restaurant, level of personal service, and the like. Yanase had selected the Royal from the Tourbook. On the night of his stay at the Royal, Yanase was shot in the parking lot adjacent to the motel and died as a result of his injuries. Yanase's widow sued Auto Club for negligence. Is the Auto Club liable?

A. Sounds like someone was in the wrong place at a bad time. More like a random Act of violence. Hotels pay to be published in the Tour Book, AAA only rates them. I say not liable.
