Q. would like to give afterschool art lessons to children (I am thinking ages 9 to high school) and I want a good book or website (free) to help guide me. I do have an art degree but it is my first time teaching and want to know like, what to teach first, what projects to include, to stay with drawing or to branch out in other mediums, etc. Any info would be helpful, thank you.

Q. Im leaving for NYC next week. Ive never been there and i wanna see as much as i can in seven days. i advice on buying a good guide book that shows some historic spots, some artistics spots, good mom and pop places to eat. I wanna know the "real" nyc so to speak. any advice?

A. The two good guide books that I always refer to before any trip is the Lets Go Guide and the Time Out Guide book. They give you the essentials of you need to know in a snap, which includes places for sightseeing, walks in the city, arts and culture in the city, good places to eat, places for nightlife etc. Both do have the New York City version and both are written by the insider point of view. I had read before both and I think both do have their uniqueness in it. (Lets Go geared more towards budget travel and Time Out is more for travelers in style).

A. The only real way to become a good welder is practice. Ask some one who welds to offer you some pointers, or even show you a thing or two. Books are okay for general info, but only doing it over and over will make you good. Use some scrap metal and go to town on it.

Q. I am hiking the AT in march and don't know how far I will end up going. I thought I would get a thru-hike manual so that every part of the trail I could possibly see is covered. There are many choices though and I was wondering if there are any thru-hikers or near-thru-hikers out there who can tell me which book is most useful.

I'm planning on starting my NOBO between 4/1 & 4/7 .Go to get an ID and start picking peoples brains about what they know Since for me this hike is on my proverbial bucket list I'm gonna kind of wing it until i get to the other side of the Smokies and then I'll fine tune it . I am by no means an inexperienced hiker so I can actualy do that and still succeed Good luck

A. If you want to stay current on Class 3 you should have a subscripiton to 'Shotgun News'. Barnes and Nobel carries this in their magazine stand. You will never, ever, receive current pricing from a publication. If you want to know the value of a 1877 Indian Cent - you can buy a coin value book... but it won't have any listing for the new state quarters released this year. Same thing with firearms. The Shooters Bible only becomes handy when you have a whole collection going back 30 years. This is a great help in identifying firearms from years gone by - especially if you like to go looking into pawn shops or gun shops that buy and sell for deals. Since the Shooters Bible doesn't change much from year to year - most people just buy… [cont.]

Why has the release date been changed on the new Twilight Saga - Official Guide book?
Q. I remember seeing the release date back in August/September as being Dec 30th (today). I preordered the book from Amazon, and their website is saying a date has not been set. Out on Barnes and Noble's website, it's listed as having a Sept 09 release date. What happened? Does anyone know if its truly been delayed 9 months, and if so, why?
